The Purdue University Northwest women's volleyball team fell in a pair of road matches this weekend against Northwood (3-0) and Lake Superior State (3-1). PNW returns to action Thursday night in a rescheduled home match with Saginaw Valley State before competing at the Midwest Region Crossover.

In Friday's match, the Pride came up short in three sets with final set scores of 25-13, 25-16 & 26-24 at Northwood. Sophomore
Erica Brohm (Bettendorf, Iowa) led the way with seven kills and recorded a .316 attacking percentage. Freshman
Riley Kraiza (Sterling Heights, Mich.) and senior
Bryanna Moonen (Franklin, Wis.) each had six kills. Freshman setter
Olivia Brooke (Logansport, Ind.) had 21 assists and six digs. Five players had at least four digs for the Pride.

On Saturday, PNW registered a thrilling comeback to take the opening set against the Lakers but still fell to the hosts, 24-26, 25-12, 25-16, 25-13), in a close match.

The Pride trailed 23-21 in the first frame until a kill from Kraiza gave PNW a 24-23 lead. The Lakers took the next point but followed up with back-to-back errors as Kraiza served on set point. The freshman from Sterling Heights, Mich. Led the way with nine kills and 14 digs, while sophomore
Summer Clark (Chicago, Ill.) had eight kills and 15 digs. Both posted a pair of aces.

Moonen finished with seven kills, Brooke tallied 29 assists and freshman libero
Sammie Abruzzo (Sugar Grove, Ill.) produced 14 digs.

PNW will host Saginaw Valley State in a match that was postponed on Sept. 24. First serve between the Pride and Cardinals is scheduled for 7 p.m. CDT at the PNW Fitness & Recreation Center in Hammond.
