OWENSBORO, Ky. — Libby Huston (Yale, Mich.) finished second overall as the Purdue Northwest women's golf team capped its fall season with a sixth-place finish at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational, hosted at The Pearl Club.

Huston carded a tournament-low round of 75 on Sunday — a new PNW women's golf program record for lowest round — to finish two strokes behind low-medalist Ssu Tung Lai of Maryville University. Huston registered an overall 13-over par 157 while moving up eight spots on the leaderboard in the final round.

Prior to her record-breaking round on Sunday, Huston was tied with three others for the lowest round (78) recorded by a PNW women's golfer.

Overall, PNW produced a total team score of 721 (+145) over 36 holes at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invite. The Pride recorded a team mark of 375 in Saturday's opening round and a team score of 346 in Sunday's final round.

Contributors to the PNW lineup also included Catherine Brzycki (Griffith, Ind.) (t-20th/176), Miriah Gabel (Pickerington, Ohio) (31st/188), and Taylor Martin (Fort Wayne, Ind.) (33rd/200).

Maryville (640) won the team title by two strokes over McKendree (642). Rounding out the team standings were Ashland (660), Kentucky Wesleyan (711) and Brescia (718).
