Isaiah Nieves tallied a career-high six points with a brace and two assists to lead Purdue Northwest past Northwood on Friday, 4-1.

Nieves put the Pride on the board in the 22nd minute off a throw-in play with
Christian Booth and
Ryan Moran picking up assists. Two minutes later, Booth found the back of the net from 18 yards and Nieves earned the assist for the eventual game-winner.

Ryan Moran got in on the action shortly after halftime to put PNW ahead 3-0 in the 51st minute off a set piece initiated by Nieves for another assist. Moran leads the team in goals with seven, followed by Nieves and Booth with five each. Nieves is the team leader in assists with 10 on the year – which puts him second in the conference for most assists. The senior midfielder is now four points shy of breaking the all-time PNW career record.

Nieves found the back of the net again in the 76th minute. That strike raised the Pride advantage back to three following a Northwood penalty kick goal.

The Pride out-shot the Timberwolves 22-16 overall and produced an 11-6 edge in shots on target.

Sebastian Contreras registered four saves between the pipes for the Pride.

PNW has now claimed five of the previous six meetings with Northwood. The Pride lead the all-time series between the two teams, 5-3-1.

PNW will travel to Saginaw Valley State for Sunday's final road match of the regular season. The Pride host Davenport on Thursday, Nov. 4 in the regular-season finale.
