The Purdue University Northwest Women's Basketball program hosted the No.3-ranked Grand Valley State Lakers on the John Friend Court at the Fitness and Recreation Center in Hammond, Ind.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pride opened up the game with a close first quarter, trailing the Lakers by four with a score of 10-6. It was in the second quarter, however, that the Lakers found their fire and widened the lead. By the end of the contest, GVSU's nationally-ranked offensive pressure would overcome the Pride's defense, closing out the game with a final score of 64-42.

WHO LED THE WAY FOR THE PRIDE
Savaya Brockington put up 15 points against the Lakers, along with nine rebounds and two steals. Anjel Galbraith was close behind with 12 points.

TEAM STATS
Purdue Northwest finished with a shooting percentage of 28% and 24% from behind-the-arc. The Lakers shot 37% and 41%, respectively.

WHAT'S NEXT
After tonight's defeat, the Pride now prepare to take on the Davenport University Panthers on Saturday, February 1. This will be the second content between these two programs this season, the first ending with a one-point victory for the Pride. Saturday will also be PNW's Kids Day, sponsored by Spark Marketing.
