Pride Volleyball Battles Against Wisconsin-Parkside on the Road

PNW faced off against the UWP Rangers, dropping the competition 0-3

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Purdue Northwest Volleyball team took to the road to face off against the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers, battling it out in three sets to an ultimate loss of 0-3.

The Pride fought it out in close matchups in the first two sets, closing both with a final score of 20-25 against the Rangers. They were unable to hold back the Rangers' final momentum in the third set, dropping the last competition with a final score of 12-25. The first set saw the Pride take an early lead of 9-5 until the Ranger found their confidence and surged back, trading blows throughout the set with the Pride until they finally claimed the first win of the night. The second set saw the Pride up 13-10 until the Rangers delivered seven unanswered points.

The Pride were led on the scoresheet by sophomore Annie Pulizos with 8 kills, junior Danielle Fowler with 12 digs and senior Brooke Ahrens with 20 assists, the most for an individual from either team.

The Pride will next return to action on Friday, September 27th when they return to the road to take on the Ferris State Bulldogs in Big Rapids, Mich. at 6 p.m. (CT).
