PNW Volleyball Takes on Ferris State and Northwood

The Pride were on the road where they fell to the Ferris State Bulldogs and the Northwood Timberwolves

MIDLAND, Mich. – The PNW Volleyball team took to the road this weekend, heading to Michigan where they faced off against the Ferris State Bulldogs on September 27 and the Northwood University Timberwolves on September 28.

During Friday's competition against the Bulldogs, the Pride were led on the scoresheet by junior Danielle Fowler with 17 digs, sophomore Annie Pulizos with seven kills and three blocks, and senior Eudora Negri with 8 assists. The Pride fell to the Bulldogs in three sets with scores of 15-25, 14-25 and 10-25, respectively.

Heading then to Midland, Mich. to take on the Timberwolves, the Pride battled it out against Northwood in four sets before the Timberwolves claimed victory with a final score of 1-3. PNW fell short in the first two rounds with scores of 18 and 19 against the Timberwolves before rallying in the third set, claiming the win with a score of 25-20. Purdue Northwest was unable to hold back Northwood's resurgence and dropped the final set of the day with a final score of 14-25. The Pride recorded 53 points, 41 kills, 4 aces, 8 blocks and 18 digs across the matches. Fowler, Pulizos, and Negri led the charge for the Pride with 13 digs, 13 kills, and 32 assists, respectively.

PNW Volleyball will next in action for their first home competition of the season when they take on Grand Valley State on October 4th at 7:00 PM.
