MARQUETTE, Mich. -- The Purdue Northwest Men's Soccer kicked off 2019 GLIAC conference play on the road against the Northern Michigan WIldcats, falling in overtime with a final score of 3-2. The Pride scored goals in the 61st and 63rd minute to take the lead but were ultimately unable to hold back the Wildcats' resurgence. Ryan Palmbaum's goal in the 97th minute gave the Wildcats the gritty victory.

Justin Barragan (Berwyn, Ill./Morton West) scored the second goal that gave the Pride their lead. Forward
Enrique Serna (Majadahonda, Spain/Colegio San Jaime) nabbed an assist on both goals. Pride Goalkeeper
Raul Garrido-Garcia (Madrid, Spain/Menesiano) collected five saves in the loss, as he stayed in net for the duration of the contest. The Pride also outgained the Wildcats in corner kicks, 5-4.
PNW will next be in action on Sunday, September 22, as they travel to Kenosha to face the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers. Kickoff will be at 2:30 p.m. (CT).
