ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- The Purdue Northwest Women's Soccer team hung late in the game at Lewis University on September 11 before a late goal from the Flyers gave them a one goal lead over teh Pride, leading to a final score of 2-1.

Sophomore Midfielder Sydney Hanson (Alma, Mich./Alma) scored the Pride's second goal of the season in the 55th minute off an assist by junior Midfielder Shonali Pierce (Streamwood, Ill./University of Minnesota Crookston). That goal made the score 1-1 that would stand until the 82nd minute when Lewis University's Kailey Parnello scored to give the Flyers the go-ahead goal.

Freshman Goalkeeper Leonie Heck (Rösrath, Germany/Albertus-Magnus) played all 90 minutes and made five saves for the Pride.
