The Purdue Northwest Women's Tennis Team faced off against Grand Valley State on Saturday morning, and Ferris State on Sunday morning, both resulting in a 7-0 defeats.
During Saturday's competion,
Lena van Bergen and
Patricia Dizon put up a solid effort against GVSU during the doubles competition, falling just short in the end to a score of 5-7. DIzon would also put up the best offensive in singles, going up against GVSU's Canellopoulos with final scores of 6-3, 3-6 and 3-6.
Saturday's matchup against the Ferris State Bulldogs,
Olivia Kjaer put up a singles series that ultimately fell short in the third face off with final scores of 6-4, 6-7 and 4-10.
Julia Yanes-Barrera also put up a solid effort in her singles match before the Ferris Stat surged ahead with final scores of 5-7 and 6-4.
Women's Tennis is next in action on Saturday, October 12th in Grand Rapids, Michigan against Davenport University followed by Michigan Tech on October 19th.
