UNIVERSITY CENTER & SAULT STE. MARIE Mich. -- The Purdue University Northwest Volleyball team hit the road for two away games in Michigan, taking on the Saginaw Valley State University Cardinals and the Lake Superior State University Lakers. PNW battled it out until ultimately dropping both competitions in three sets.
While taking on the Cardinals on their court, the Pride were led by
Annie Pulizos with seven kills,
Caleigh Smith with two aces, Eduora Negri with 19 assists and
Danielle Fowler with 11 digs. The final score against SVSU during the three sets were 17-25, 16-25 and 20-25.
The following day, PNW made the long hike to the northern reaches of Michigan to take on the Lakers, closing the three sets with final scores of 23-35, 14-25 and 12-25. They were led on the scoresheet by Pulizos with nine kills, Fowler with 12 digs and an ace, and Negri with two blocks and 24 assists.
The Pride will return to action on their home court on Wednesday, October 16th when they will face off agaisnt the Saint Xavier University Cougars at 7:00 PM (CT).
