Box Score HAMMOND, Ind. -- The PNW Volleyball team hosted the Saint Xavier University Cougars Wednesday, October 16th, battling it our before falling in three close sets.

The Pride and Cougars traded close points in the first two sets, ultimately ending with final scores of 22-25 and 21-25. It was in the third set that the Pride found their momentum and surged ahead, overcoming SXU's 5-point lead to take the game for themselves. Calling two timeouts during play, the Cougars eventually retook their lead and the teams battled back and forth in the closest match of the evening, ending with teh Pride coming short with a final score of 25-27.

The Pride were led by Annie Pulizos with 12 kills and four solo blocks, Bryanna Moonen with seven kills, Brooke Carter with 6 kills and Danielle Fowler with 22 digs.

The Pride will be back in action this weekend as they travel to Indianapolis for the 2019 Midwest Region Volleyball Tournament, taking on Lindenwood at 10 a.m. on October 18th.
