Beto Reyes

Beto Reyes is in his third season as an assistant coach for the men's and women's soccer programs. He assists in all aspects of the programs with primary focus in recruiting and player development.

Reyes comes to Purdue Calumet with over a decade of coaching experience, having had stints at East Chicago Central, Hammond Clark, Hammond High and the San Antonio Dragons club team. He garnered Coach-of-the-Year honors at Clark in 2009, after leading the Pioneers to an impressive 11-3-3 mark in his only season as head coach.

The Hammond High School product has been active participant on the local soccer scene for years, playing for the N.W.I United club as youth while competing in men’s leagues such as Mexsol and C.L.A.S.A. He played collegiately at Purdue Calumet in the early 1990’s, as a member of the Lakers’ soccer program.

Reyes graduated from Purdue Calumet with a bachelor’s degree in foreign language. He resides in Munster with his wife, Maria, daughter, Mireya, and two sons, Alessandro Jovani and Adan.
