Carlie Thornber is entering her first season as the women's soccer Graduate Assistant coach for the 2018-2019 season.

Thornber played her college career at Tusculum University which is a DII program in Greeneville, Tennessee. During her career with the Pioneers, she became a two-year captain and earned a SAC conference championship in her junior year.

Thornber was a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American which was a new Tusculum record for female student-athletes. She was also named to the SAC All-Conference team in 2016 and 2017.

She received the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American honor in 2017 which was presented at the United Soccer Coaches Conference.

Thornber graduated at the top of her class as the Valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA and a Bachelor's of Science in Biology.

The Bancroft, Ont. native has a twin brother Jeff and little brother Cameron. She will be working toward a Masters in Business Administration degree at PNW.
