Xavier Allison

Xavier Allison joined the Purdue Northwest Men's Basketball Staff in the 2021-22 season after playing the previous two seasons for the Pride.

Allison, who is a native Californian, began his collegiate basketball playing career in Fall 2017 as a freshman recruited to play for Mira Costa Community College (MCC) in Oceanside, Calif. During his two years at MCC, Allison twice received Pacific Coast All-Conference honors.

In the 2018-19 season, he set the MCC record for most 3-pointers made in a game (8), was selected Team Captain, and was awarded the MCC Male Athlete of the Year.

After flying to the Midwest for a one-day tryout, Allison earned an invitation to join the PNW men's basketball family. He played for PNW during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, averaging 22 minutes per game in 39 total contests. Allison set the program record for assists in a single game during the 2019-20 season with 13 assists against Ashland University. He helped the Pride make their first conference tournament appearance in the school's NCAA Division II era, while helping the program to its best conference finish in the regular season.

Allison earned recognition on the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Academic Excellence Team. He also led the GLIAC in three-point shooting percentage in the '20-21 season (51.1%), while finishing second on the team with 40 assists.

Allison graduated from the PNW Graduate School of Communications, receiving his Master of Arts degree in May 2023. He is currently in his 3rd season as an assistant coach at PNW.
