Prep: Attended New Prairie High School in New Carlisle, Ind…As a senior, he was nominated team Most Valuable Player with the lowest ERA in his career…Was named conference MVP, all-state honorable mention and to the North/South All-Star team…Had 117 strikeouts with a season-high 16 strikeouts against Marion High School…Was voted all-conference honorable mention his junior season…As a sophomore, he won team MVP and was voted second-team all-conference as a third basemen.
