The Purdue Northwest Men's Soccer team fell on the road in GLIAC play Sunday afternoon, as Roosevelt used a strong first half to secure a 2-0 victory over the Lions at Morris Field.

• Roosevelt came out strong in the opening half, taking an early lead when Mewes scored at the 9:43 mark off an assist from Andrea Mercanti.
• The Lakers doubled their advantage just over six minutes later when Niziolek scored at 16:03 to make it a 2-0 contest.
• Roosevelt continued to apply pressure throughout the opening half, holding a 9-2 advantage in shots and taking a 2-0 lead into halftime.
• Fernandez made three first-half saves to keep the Lions within striking distance heading into the break.
• PNW came out with increased offensive pressure in the second half, recording five shots compared to two in the opening 45 minutes.
• The Lions placed three second-half shots on goal, but Strupler turned aside each attempt to preserve the Roosevelt shutout.
• Fernandez added two more saves in the second half, finishing the afternoon with five stops.
• Purdue Northwest continued to battle through the final whistle but was unable to cut into the two-goal deficit.
