The Purdue Northwest Softball team split a GLIAC doubleheader on the road against Davenport on Saturday afternoon, falling in Game 1, 4-2, before rallying late to earn a 5-3 victory in Game 2.

Game 1
The Breakdown

• Junior Kylie Dugan (Buck Creek, Ind./William Henry Harrison) reached base multiple times, scoring twice and driving in a run, while senior Amanda DeBoer (Dyer, Ind./Illiana Christian) added two RBIs.
• Sophomore Abbey Bond (Saint John, Ind./Andrean) earned the complete-game victory in the circle, allowing three runs on seven hits while keeping Davenport off the board over the final frame.
• Davenport totaled seven hits but was limited in key situations and could not respond in the final inning.
• The Purdue Northwest defense played a clean game, committing no errors and turning a double play behind Bond.
