Purdue Northwest softball freshman infielder Gracie Jensen (Chicago Heights, Ill./Marian Catholic) has earned this week GLIAC Softball Player of the Week honors after leading Purdue Northwest this weekend with a standout performance during the Pride's final day at the Maryville Invite on March 8.

Jensen led the Pride offensively across two games, batting .875 (7-for-8) with four runs scored and four RBIs while helping Purdue Northwest split the day with Hillsdale and Maryville.

In the opener against Hillsdale, Jensen delivered a strong performance at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs. She highlighted the game with a two-run home run and added an RBI single as part of the Pride's six-run effort.

Jensen followed with an even bigger performance in the Pride's 8-7 win over host Maryville. She went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored, an RBI and a double, helping ignite the offense during Purdue Northwest's late rally.

Across the two games, Jensen recorded two extra-base hits and finished the day with a 1.250 slugging percentage and .875 on-base percentage.

Defensively, Jensen was flawless in the infield, posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage over 10 total chances. She recorded five putouts and five assists without committing an error.

Jensen's dominant day at the plate and steady defense played a key role in Purdue Northwest closing the Maryville Invite with a victory and improving to 7-5 on the season.
