The Purdue Northwest Softball team faced a tough test in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon, dropping both games of a doubleheader at #8 Indianapolis by scores of 11-3 and 6-0.

• Purdue Northwest was held scoreless in the second game, falling 6-0 despite recording five hits.
• Del Toro, Mudis, Dugan, Jensen and junior Hannah Rafferty-Flatter (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) each recorded a hit for the Pride.
• The Pride threatened at times but could not capitalize on scoring opportunities, leaving runners on base throughout the game.
• Indianapolis broke through in the second inning, scoring two runs, including one aided by a defensive error.
• The Greyhounds added two more runs in the third inning on a two-run home run by Maya Rodriguez.
• A solo home run in the fourth inning extended the lead to 5-0.
• Indianapolis added its final run in the sixth inning on an RBI double.
• Freshman Chloe Tanner (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) took the loss in the circle, allowing four runs over three innings.
