The Purdue Northwest Softball team wrapped up play at the Oasis DII Collegiate Classic on Sunday afternoon in Marion, Illinois, dropping a pair of games to ranked opponents. The Pride fell to No. 11 University of Indianapolis, 2-0, before coming up short against No. 25 McKendree University, 4-0.

Game 1
The Breakdown
- Sophomore Abbey Bond (Saint John, Ind./Andrean) took the loss in the circle, allowing two runs on six hits over 6.0 innings while striking out three and walking six.
- Freshman Chloe Tanner (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) worked a scoreless seventh inning in relief, surrendering no hits and striking out none.
- Indianapolis struck early with a run in the first inning and added another in the second to build a 2-0 advantage.
- The Pride defense battled throughout, but two early runs proved to be the difference as the offense was unable to capitalize despite a walk from Dugan.
- Indianapolis pitcher C. Bunte earned the complete-game shutout, limiting PNW's opportunities and striking out five.
Game 2
The Breakdown
- Purdue Northwest totaled three hits in a 4-0 loss to No. 25 McKendree in their weekend finale.
- Freshman Jessy Del Toro (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central), freshman Gracie Jensen (Chicago Heights, Ill./Marian Catholic) and sophomore Emma Fair (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) each collected one hit for the Pride.
- Tanner started in the circle and took the loss, allowing four runs on seven hits over 3.1 innings with four strikeouts.
- Senior Hailie Charmat (South Bend, Ind./John Adams) provided 2.2 innings of scoreless relief, giving up just one hit while striking out two.
- McKendree opened the scoring in the first inning, capitalizing on an error to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Bearcats added two runs in the third inning behind a pair of RBI doubles and extended the lead to 4-0 with an RBI single in the fourth.
- PNW threatened with baserunners in multiple innings, drawing two walks and getting hit by a pitch, but was unable to push a run across against McKendree pitching.
