The Breakdown
  • Purdue Northwest came out strong, building an early double-digit lead behind efficient shooting and strong work on the glass. The Pride shot over 50 percent in the first half and held Roosevelt to just 30 percent shooting, taking a commanding 42-26 advantage into the break.
  • The Pride maintained control throughout the second half, extending their lead to as many as 27 points midway through the period. Strong rebounding and interior scoring helped Purdue Northwest keep Roosevelt from mounting a serious comeback attempt.
  • Roosevelt trimmed the deficit late behind free throws and transition scoring, but the Pride stayed composed and closed out the game to secure the 79-65 victory.
