The Purdue Northwest baseball team opened their home slate with a doubleheader against Upper Iowa University on Saturday, where the Pride rolled to a 16-2 win in game one before falling 5-2 in game two.

Game 1: W (16-2) - 7 Innings
- Denham Kozy (Munster, Ind./Munster) led the offensive charge with a triple and four RBIs, sparking a big first inning for the Pride.
- Drew Kosteba (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) went 3-for-5 with a triple and four RBIs, adding key insurance runs in the middle innings.
- Joey Guiliano (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) drove in two runs, scored twice, and added two stolen bases at the top of the lineup.
- Billy Chidsey (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) reached base four times, scored three runs, and tallied an RBI while swiping two bags.
- Owen Winters (Kouts, Ind./Kouts) collected a hit, drove in a run, and crossed the plate three times.
- Michael Stanton earned the win on the mound, tossing 3.0 innings and allowing two runs on four hits.
- Joey DalPonte (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport) followed with 3.0 scoreless innings of relief, surrendering no hits.
- Ivan Balboa (Hobart, Ind./Hobart) closed the door with a clean seventh inning.
- Purdue Northwest wasted no time jumping ahead in the first. After two quick outs, Chidsey and Kalemba worked walks before Winters reached to load the bases. Kozy cleared them with a three-RBI triple to left, and Kosteba followed with an RBI single to make it 4-0.
- The Pride added another run in the second and continued to build the lead in the fourth, highlighted by an RBI single from Winters and a run-scoring triple from Kosteba.
- A six-run fifth inning broke the game wide open. Guiliano delivered a two-RBI single down the line, and Kosteba added another two-run single later in the frame as Purdue Northwest capitalized on defensive miscues.
- The Pride tacked on two more runs in the sixth to extend the lead to 16-2 before Balboa shut down the Peacocks in the seventh to secure the run-rule victory.

Game 2: L (5-2) – 7 Innings
- Owen Winters (Kouts, Ind./Kouts) paced the offense with a 2-for-3 performance and scored a run.
- Hunter Nolan (Apex, N.C./Enloe) delivered a clutch two-RBI single in the sixth inning.
- Braylon Barrett added a hit at the top of the order.
- Owen Walkowiak (Crown Point, Ind./Andrean) took the loss, allowing two runs over 2.0 innings with four strikeouts.
- Cody Hazzard (Mazon, Ill./Yorkville Christian) provided 4.0 innings of relief, striking out three.
- Upper Iowa struck first with single runs in the first and second innings to take an early 2-0 lead. The Pride were held scoreless through five frames despite putting runners on base.
- In the sixth, Upper Iowa extended its lead with a two-RBI triple from Luzum and an RBI groundout to make it 5-0.
- Purdue Northwest responded in the bottom half of the inning. A pinch-hit walk and a single set the table before Nolan lined a two-RBI single to right center, cutting the deficit to 5-2.
- The Pride threatened late but were unable to complete the comeback as Upper Iowa secured the split.
