The Purdue Northwest Softball team earned a pair of victories on Day 2 of the Lewis Dome Invitational on Thursday in Rosemont, Illinois. The Pride opened the day with a 3-1 win over Upper Iowa before closing strong with a 9-2 victory against Bemidji State.

Game 1
The Breakdown
- Junior Kylie Dugan (Buck Creek, Ind./William Henry Harrison) led the Pride at the plate with two hits, one RBI and a stolen base.
- Senior Amanda DeBoer (Dyer, Ind./Illiana Christian) added a hit and a stolen base, while sophomore Madison Ecker (Shiloh, Ill./O'Fallon Township) and freshman Jessy Del Toro (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) each recorded a hit.
- Sophomore Kylie Madura (Munster, Ind./Munster) and senior Grace Wilson (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) each drove in a run on sacrifice flies.
- Junior Emma Fair (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) scored a run as Purdue Northwest capitalized on Upper Iowa errors.
- Senior Hailie Charmat (South Bend, Ind./John Adams) earned the win in the circle, tossing a complete game while allowing one earned run on seven hits with five strikeouts in 7.0 innings.
- Upper Iowa tallied seven hits in the contest, led by D. Laughlin with three.
- Purdue Northwest struck first in the opening inning on a sacrifice fly from Madura to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Pride added another run in the second as Dugan executed a bunt single that brought home Fair to make it 2-0.
- Upper Iowa responded with a run in the bottom of the second, trimming the deficit to 2-1.
- PNW answered in the third when Wilson delivered a sacrifice fly to score Madura, extending the lead to 3-1.
- Charmat settled in from there, stranding runners and working out of traffic to secure the 3-1 victory.
- The Pride finished with five hits and played steady defense behind their pitcher.
Game 2
The Breakdown
- Purdue Northwest erupted for 16 hits in the win over Bemidji State.
- DeBoer paced the offense with three hits and four RBIs, including a three-run triple.
- Senior Olivia Hernandez (Aurora, Ill./Aurora Central Catholic) collected two hits and two RBIs, while Dugan added two hits and two walks.
- Fair recorded two hits, including a triple, and drove in a run.
- Del Toro chipped in two hits and an RBI, and freshman Hannah Voll (West Lafayette, Ind./William Henry Harrison) scored twice with a double.
- Freshman Chloe Tanner (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) earned the win in the circle, pitching a complete game while allowing two runs on four hits with five strikeouts.
- The Pride jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning with RBI singles from DeBoer and Hernandez.
- After Bemidji State scored on a steal of home in the second, PNW responded with a three-run third inning highlighted by RBI efforts from Hernandez, Del Toro and Fair to build a 5-1 advantage.
- Madura added a sacrifice fly in the fourth to make it 6-1.
- The Pride broke the game open in the fifth as DeBoer cleared the bases with a three-run triple, extending the lead to 9-1.
- Bemidji State added a run in the fifth, but Tanner and the Pride defense held firm the rest of the way to complete the 9-2 win.
