PNW Athletics Announces Corporate Champion Partnership with Play It Again Sports in Merrillville

Purdue University Northwest (PNW) Athletics is proud to announce a new corporate sponsorship with Play It Again Sports in Merrillville, Indiana for the 2025–2026 academic year.

As a corporate champion partner, Play It Again Sports will support PNW's mission to provide an exceptional student-athlete experience, while promoting health, wellness, and community engagement across Northwest Indiana. The sponsorship reflects a shared commitment to athletic excellence and the development of student-athletes both on and off the field.

"We are excited to welcome Play It Again Sports Merrillville to the PNW Athletics family," said Rick Costello, Director of Athletics. "Their commitment to health, fitness, and expanding athletic opportunities aligns seamlessly with our mission to support student-athletes and promote lifelong wellness throughout our community."  Through this partnership, Play It Again Sports Merrillville will collaborate with PNW Athletics on community outreach initiatives and engage with students, athletes, and fans through a variety of programs and events.

About Purdue Northwest Athletics
PNW Athletics consists of 500 student athletes competing in 23 sports and is a current member of NCAA Division II, the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), and the Midwest Esports Conference. 

Intercollegiate athletic teams are fielded in baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, esports, men's and women's golf, men's and women's ice hockey, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track & field, softball, STUNT, women's flag football and women's volleyball. Academically, PNW student-athletes have achieved 19 consecutive semesters with a combined GPA of 3.0 or above. Athletically, PNW has secured 18 championships since moving to NCAA Division II in 2016-17.
