On Saturday, the Purdue Northwest baseball team traveled to Kenosha, Wisconsin, to take on Parkside at Simmons Field for a GLIAC Doubleheader where they Pride would split the day falling in game one but taking game two.

The Breakdown
Game 1: L (7-3) – 7 Innings
- Joey Guiliano (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) led the Pride with an RBI ground-rule double in the fifth inning, putting PNW on the board.
- Kam Earley (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) followed up with a clutch two-RBI single to left center, cutting into the deficit.
- Drake Ballard (Louisville, Ky./Martha Laynes Collins) went 2-for-3 and scored a run to spark the offense.
- Paul Feret (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) added a double off the bench for Purdue Northwest.
- Mitchell Stanton (South Chicago Heights, Ill./Marian Catholic) started on the mound, pitching five innings and striking out four, but allowed seven earned runs and was tagged with the loss.
- Josh Damian (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower) tossed a clean sixth inning, allowing no hits and no runs.
- Parkside was led by Owen Brock with three hits and an RBI. Jake Petasek drove in two runs as part of a six-run second inning that proved to be the difference.
- Sam Mommer earned the win for the Rangers, striking out seven over five innings of work.
- The game turned quickly in the bottom of the second when Parkside erupted for six runs on five hits, including a two-RBI single from Jake Petasek and RBI knocks from Josh Wicker and Owen Brock. A balk and a fielder's choice added to the damage, giving the Rangers a 6-0 advantage.
- Purdue Northwest battled back in the fifth. With one out, Joey Guiliano (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) smashed a ground-rule double to left, scoring Jayden Smith (Allegan, Mich./Allegan) to put the Pride on the board. Kam Earley (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) followed up with a two-run single, scoring Ballard and Guiliano to trim the lead to 7-3.
- Despite the momentum shift, PNW was unable to close the gap as Parkside's bullpen held firm over the final innings. The Pride were held to five hits and struck out eight times, while committing one error defensively.

The Breakdown
Game 1: W (11-3) – 9 Innings
- Brayden Barrett (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) led the Pride with a monster day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with five RBIs including a three-run homer in the second inning.
- Kam Earley (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) continued his hot streak, collecting three hits, two RBIs, and a sac fly.
- AJ Reid (Highland, Ind./Highland) drove in a run and notched a double.
- Drake Ballard (Louisville, Ky./Martha Laynes Collins) added an RBI groundout while Paul Feret (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) chipped in with a late RBI single.
- Joey Guiliano (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) scored three runs and tallied two hits at the top of the order.
- Jake Nightingale (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) was dominant on the mound, tossing a complete game with eight strikeouts, allowing just three runs on seven hits.
- Dylan Sayles homered for Parkside, driving in two in the opening frame.
- John Wubben added an RBI single in the eighth for the Rangers.
- Keegan Waters took the loss for Parkside, surrendering five runs over four innings.
- The Pride jumped on the board early. In the top of the first, Kam Earley (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) doubled home Brayden Barrett (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton), and AJ Reid (Highland, Ind./Highland) followed with a double of his own to bring in Earley for a quick 2-0 lead.
- Parkside answered in the bottom half with a two-run homer by Dylan Sayles, but the Pride responded immediately. In the second inning, Barrett launched a three-run shot over the left field fence to make it 5-2.
- After a few scoreless innings, Purdue Northwest broke it open in the sixth. Barrett delivered again, singling through the right side to drive in two more runs. A wild pitch allowed another to score, and Ballard grounded out to bring home Barrett, stretching the lead to 9-2.
- The Pride tacked on two more insurance runs—one in the eighth on a Paul Feret (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) RBI single and one in the ninth on a sac fly by Earley.
- Nightingale closed the door in the ninth to seal the win, striking out the final batter for his first complete game of the season.
