Game 1
The Breakdown
  • Junior Olivia Hernandez (Aurora, Ill./Aurora Central Catholic) led the Pride at the plate going 3-for-3 with five RBIs.
  • Sophomore Kylie Dugan (Buck Creek, Ind./William Henry Harrison), freshman Kylie Madura (Munster, Ind./Munster), and senior Myah Stuckey (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) each added two hits for Purdue Northwest.
  • Senior Darcy Barkauskas (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) chipped in one hit and two RBIs.
  • Freshman Rylan Gick (West Lafayette, Ind./William Henry Harrison) gained the start on the mound for the Pride pitching the first six innings allowing seven hits with three earned runs to tally the win.
  • Freshman Jordyn Roop (Hudson, Ill./University) came in the final inning and struckout two batters and allowed no hits or runs to notch her first career save.
  • Logan Forman led Wayne State with two hits and one RBI.
  • Hayden Batton started in the circle for the Warriors pitching all seven innings allowing 11 hits with seven runs and two strikeouts.
  • Wayne State scored early in the game taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
  • The Pride took the lead in the third inning scoring two runs off a Hernandez two-run double to go up 2-1.

The Breakdown
  • Hernandez led the Pride once again going 3-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs.
  • Dugan also went 3-for-3 at the plate and recorded a stolen base.
  • Freshman Kendall Adelmann (Shorewood, Ill./Minooka Community) added and junior Grace Wilson (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) each notched one hit and three RBIs for Purdue Northwest.
  • Stuckey chipped in one hit and one RBI during the game.
  • Sophomore Hannah Rafferty-Flatter (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) started in the circle for Pride pitching all five innings allowing seven hits and four runs while tallying one strikeout to earn the win. She also had a career game at the plate tallying two hits and two RBIs including her first career homerun.
  • Mia Hool led Wayne State with two hits and four RBIs.
  • Grace Fisher started in the circle for the Warriors pitching the 0.2 innings allowing three hits and six runs.
  • Elly Koopman finished the final four innings allowing six runs on nine hits.
  • The Pride started red hot scoring six runs in the first inning to take an early 6-0 lead.
  • Purdue Northwest added four runs in the second inning to grow their advantage to 10-0.
