On Sunday, the Purdue Northwest baseball team took on Roosevelt University in a dominant offensive display, securing a 17-4 victory at home in Hammond, Indiana.

- Joey Guiliano (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) was a force at the plate, collecting five hits, including a double and a triple, while driving in two runs.

- The game opened with an explosive first inning for Purdue Northwest. AJ Reid (Highland, Ind./Highland) tripled to left field, bringing in Kam Earley (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) for the first run of the game. An error allowed Reid to score, followed by Dan Puplava's (Portage, Ind./Portage) triple, which drove in Bret Matthys (Cedar Lake, Ind./Hanover Central). Puplava later scored on a passed ball, giving the Pride an early 4-0 lead.
- Roosevelt responded in the second inning with a two-run single from Gavin Millard, cutting the deficit to 4-2. However, Purdue Northwest extended its lead in the bottom half, with Matthys singling in a run, Puplava reaching on a fielder's choice for another RBI, and Jax Kalemba (Chicago, Ill./Andrean) delivering a two-run single to make it 8-2.
- The third inning saw more fireworks as AJ Reid (Highland, Ind./Highland) launched a two-run home run, pushing the Pride's lead to 10-2. Roosevelt added a run in the fourth on a bases-loaded walk, but Ethan Imlach (Mokena, Ill./Mount Carmel) answered back in the bottom half with an RBI groundout.
- Purdue Northwest exploded again in the fifth, scoring five runs, including an RBI single by Cole Olson (Stanton, Mich./Central Montcalm), a two-run double from Guiliano, and another RBI double from Kalemba. Reid capped off the frame with a sacrifice fly, bringing the score to 16-3.
- A wild pitch in the sixth inning allowed Purdue Northwest to tally their final run. Roosevelt managed to push across one more in the seventh with an RBI double from H. Kowlaski, but it wasn't enough as Purdue Northwest closed out the 17-4 win.
