The Purdue Northwest softball team squandered multiple leads on the road in two hard-fought matches at Parkside in GLIAC action on Saturday afternoon, The Pride fell in Game 1, 4-2, and dropped Game 2, 5-1.

Game 1
The Breakdown
- Junior Amanda DeBoer (Dyer, Ind./Illiana Christian)Â led the Pride with two hits.
- Freshman Jadyn Ramer (Lafayette, Ind./Harrison)Â added one hit and one RBI.
- Five other Pride players recorded a hit during the game.
- Junior Hailie Charmat (South Bend, Ind./John Adams) earned the start on the mound for the Pride and pitched all six innings allowing four runs off four hits but walked ten batters. She ended the game with seven strikeouts.
- Kreykes led Roosevelt going 3-for-3 at the plate with one RBI.
- Hancock started in the circle for the Lakers pitching the first four innings allowing one run off five hits.
- Czarnacki finished the final three innings for Roosevelt allowing one run and three hits to tally the win.
- The Pride grabbed the early lead scoring one run in the first inning to go up 1-0.
- Roosevelt took their first lead in the fourth inning scoring two runs to make 2-1.
- Purdue Northwest tied things up 2-2 in the top of the sixth after an RBI hit from Ramer.
- The Lakers were able to retake the lead after several wild pitches and mental errors from the Pride to go up 4-2.
- The Pride couldn't convert their chances in the end and ultimately fell in Game 1, 4-2.
Game 2
The Breakdown
- Freshman Kylie Madura (Munster, Ind./Munster) led the Pride with three hits.
- DeBoer added two hits once again.
- Sophomore Kylie Dugan (Buck Creek, Ind./William Henry Harrison), senior Darcy Barkauskas (St. John, Ind./Lake Central), and senior Myah Stuckey (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) each chipped in one hit during the game.
- Freshman Abbey Bond (Saint John, Ind./Andrean) started in the circle for Pride in her GLIAC debut allowing five runs off seven hits while notching four strikeouts.
- Ubaniak led Roosevelt with two hits.
- Luzzi started on the mound for the Lakers and pitched the first 4.2 innings allowing one run off five hits.
- Czarnecki came in once again and ended the final 2.1 innings only allowing no runs and two hits to pick up her second victory on the day.
- The Pride took the lead in third inning off a Fair RBI sacrifice fly to go up 1-0.
- Purdue Northwest was holding strong, until the sixth inning where things went wrong.
- After an error and some hits, Roosevelt went on to score five runs in the sixth to take a 5-1 advantage.
- The Pride couldn't gain back the momentum and fell once again while having the lead, 5-1.
