The Purdue Northwest Women's Basketball team celebrated their 3rd Annual Play4Kay Game on Saturday when they hosted Davenport. The Pride fell in a close GLIAC battle in the end, 85-79.

• Junior Alyssa Cole (Nashville, Ill./Nashville Community) led the Pride with a game-high 25 points and a team-leading eight rebounds with three assists.
• Senior Nessa Walsh (Chicago, Ill./St. Joseph) contributed 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
• Senior Cherrelle Newsom (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) added 12 points during the game.
• Senior Kaylen Evans (New Lenox, Ill./Nazareth Academy) chipped in 11 points and two assists.

The Breakdown

• Both teams battled in the first period that saw Davenport hold a slim 18-16 lead going into the second.
• The Pride came back to grab the lead, 23-22, with eight minutes left in the second period.
• Davenport then responded with a 13-3 run to regain the lead and go up 35-26 with four minutes remaining until halftime.
• Purdue Northwest fought back to finish the first half strong and cut their deficit to 41-37 at halftime.
• The third period was another back-and-forth game as Davenport continued to hold their slim lead, 61-55.
• The Panthers started the fourth period with a 15-6 run to grab a 69-61 advantage.
• The Pride chopped their deficit to 74-70 with five minutes left in the game.
• For the remainder of the game, Purdue Northwest tried to gain momentum in the final minutes but Davenport held off the Pride with big shots down the stretch to get the win, 85-79.
• The Pride held a slim advantage in second chance points, 11-8.
• Purdue Northwest finished with a 11-8 lead in fast break points.
• The Panthers bench outscored the Pride only slightly, 25-24.
