Purdue Northwest Volleyball senior libero Livia Thomsen (Bettendorf, Iowa/Pleasant Valley) has been honored with this week's GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week after her outstanding weekend of play at the Midwest Volleyball Crossover.

Livia had a match high 23 digs in a three-set sweep over Mckendree followed up with a match high 29 digs against Drury in a five-set thrilling victory on Friday night. For the weekend, Livia had 76 digs averaging 5.84 digs a set to help the Pride go 3-0 at the Midwest Crossover and continues to show why she is one of top liberos in the conference.

Her great weekend of play also earned her a spot on the Midwest Volleyball Crossover All-Tournament Team. This is Thomsen's first GLIAC honor this season and third of her career.
