Women's Basketball drops road GLIAC contest at Saginaw Valley State

The Purdue Northwest Women's Basketball team dropped a GLIAC road contest at Saginaw Valley State on Thursday evening, 80-56.

  • Seniors Cherrelle Newsom (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) and Nessa Walsh (Chicago, Ill./St. Joseph) each led the Pride with 12 points. Walsh added seven rebounds and three steals.
  • Junior Alyssa Cole (Nashville, Ill./Nashville Community) notched a near double-double with 11 points and nine boards.
  • Senior Akyia Baker (Newark, N.J./St. Thomas Aquinas) chipped in ten points during the game.

  • SVSU responded with a 15-9 run to end the third and take a commanding 63-45 advantage into the fourth.
