The Purdue Northwest Women's Basketball team slipped at home against GLIAC foe Wayne State on Thursday evening for "The Mane Event," 88-59.

• Senior Akyia Baker (Newark, N.J./St. Thomas Aquinas) added 14 points with five rebounds.
• Freshman Riley Milausnic (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central) notched 12 points and two steals off the bench.
• Sophomore Sophia Remmel (Dunlap, Ill./Dunlap) chipped in eight points off the bench.
• As a team, Purdue Northwest finished the game shooting 21-of-61 (34.4%) from the floor and 7-of-24 (29.2%) from behind the arc. They also tallied ten steals and nine assists in the game.
• Taylor Thompson led Saginaw Valley State with a game-high 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
• As a team, the Warriors ended the contest going 33-of-65 (50.8%) from the floor and 8-of-22 (36.4%) from deep. They notched 21 assists and nine steals.

• Wayne State started the game strong taking a double-digit lead after the first period, 21-9.
• The Warriors continued the fast start and kept the double-digit advantage at halftime, 45-28.
• The Pride couldn't get things going in the second half and Wayne State kept the foot on the pedal.
• Purdue Northwest ultimately fell in the end after tough evening to the Warriors, 88-59.
