The Purdue Northwest Men's Basketball team stumbled on the road in GLIAC play at Grand Valley State on Saturday afternoon, 83-64.

- Junior Collin Albert (Cleveland, Ohio/Lutheran Highschool East) led the Pride with a game-high 27 points with four rebounds and four assists.
- Freshman Will Ashford (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) added 12 points with four three-pointers made and grabbed five rebounds
- Senior Dalton Gayman (Nevada, Mo./Nevada) came off the bench with ten points and six rebounds.
- As a team, the Pride ended the game shooting 22-of-65 (33.8%) from the floor and went 9-of-29 (31.0%) from deep. The team also notched 1 assists with seven steals and three blocks on the defensive side.
- Trevor Smith Jr. led GVSUÂ with 18Â points and dished out five assists.
- As a team, the Lakers finished the contest going 31-of-66 (47.0%) from the field and shot 11-of-30 (36.7%) from behind the arc. They recorded 16 assists and six steals with six blocks.
The Breakdown
- The Pride got off to a blazing start to the game going up 13-4 in the first five minutes.
- GVSU started to fight back and went on a 15 run to take their first lead of the game, 19-17, with twelve remaining in the first half.
- The Lakers continued their grow their lead and got it up to 36-23 with four minutes to go in the first.
- The Pride grinded out the first half to try and cut their deficit but the Lakers finished the first with a half-court buzzer beater to go into halftime with a 44-30 advantage.
- The Lakers came out fast in the second half scoring six straight points before a 30 second timeout from the Pride with the score 50-30.
- GVSU held onto their double-digit advantage the rest of the game and Purdue Northwest could not get any offensive momentum going. They went on to fall in the end after a tough day, 83-64.
- The Pride finished the game going 11-of-15 from the free throw line.
