The Purdue Northwest Men's Soccer team battled to a hard-fought 2-2 tied on the road against #22 Parkside in their GLIAC opener on Saturday afternoon.

- Graduate student Jacob Battista (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia/Dt Kevin's College) led the Pride with a goal and an assist
- Senior Christian Booth (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/Father John Redmond) added one goal for Purdue Northwest.
- Junior Miguel Rodriguez De la Garza (Monterrey, Mexico) chipped in an assist during the game.
- Graduate student Tomas Rozman (Sydney, Australia/Champagnat Catholic College) played all 90 minutes in net for the Pride and recorded two saves.
- Christopher Estrada led Parkside scoring two goals.
- Daniyal Rana played all 90 minutes in frame for the Rangers and made three saves.
The Breakdown
- The Pride scored the first goal of the game off a strike from Booth to give them a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute.
- Parkside tied things up 1-1 in the 71st minute of the second half off Estradas first goal.
- Purdue Northwest regained the lead off a Battista goal in the 75th minute to go 2-1.
- The Rangers once again responded with a tying goal in the 81st minute from Estrada to make it 2-2.
- Both teams couldn't find the back of the net in the final nine minutes and game ended in a hard fought tie, 2-2.
