Senior pitcher
Gabby Paliska (Palos Park, Ill./Lincoln-Way East (Wisconsin-Green Bay)) became the Purdue Northwest softball all-time strikeouts leader during the final day of the McKendree Invitational. The Pride dropped both heavily contested eight inning contests falling to Missouri-St. Louis, 6-2, and host McKendree, 1-0.

The Breakdown
- Sophomore Amanda DeBoer (Dyer, Ind./Illiana Christian) led the Pride with two hits.
- Freshman Kylie Dugan (Buck Creek, Ind./William Henry Harrison) and junior Myah Stuckey (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) each added one hit and one RBI.
- Senior Jessica DeBoer (Dyer, Ind./Illiana Christian)Â chipped in one hit.
- Senior Maddison Roop (Hudson, Ill./University) started on the mound for the Pride and pitched all eight innings. She finished with eight strikeouts during the game.
- Irene Travis led UMSL with four hits and two RBIs.
- Ashley Borowitz started in the circle for the Tritons and pitched all eight innings to earn the win with eight strikeouts.
- UMSL scored the first run of the game in the third inning to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Pride tied it up 1-1 in the sixth inning after a clutch RBI single from Dugan.
- The game then went to the eighth inning where the Tritons scored five runs to take a 6-1 advantage.
- Purdue Northwest gained a run in the eighth but couldn't muster anymore offense falling in the end, 6-2.
Game 2 - vs. Maryville - L, 1-0 - 8 Inn.
The Breakdown
- A.BeBoer once again led the Pride at the plate with two hits.
- Dugan, Stuckey, and freshman Emma Fair (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) each added one hit.
- Paliska started in the circle for the Pride and pitched all eight innings. She only gave up three hits and notched five strikeouts. During the game, she became the all-time leader in strikeouts.
- Three McKendree plays led the team with one hit each.
- Ellie Quaethem started on the mound for the Bearcats pitching all eight innings with the win and five strikeouts.
- The game was held scoreless after seven innings of action with great pitching and defensive plays by both teams.
- McKendree got the game winning run after a wild pitch in the eighth inning to make the final score 1-0.
