The 6-seeded Purdue Northwest Men's Soccer team knocked off 3-seeded St. Cloud State on the road to advance to the GLIAC Men's Soccer Tournament Semifinals after a 3-0 shutout win on Saturday afteroon.

- Graduate Student Jacob Battista (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia/Dt Kevin's College) led the Pride with one goal and assist.
- Graduate student Tobias Crosariol (Milan, Italy/German School of Milan) and senior Kenzo Fukugava (São Paulo, Brazil/Collegio Santoamerico) each added one goal.
- Graduate student Christian Booth (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/Father John Redmond), senior Fausto Gionchetti (Pilar, Buenos Aires, Argentina/Oakhill Pilar), and junior Rami Hassan Zantout (Folson, Calif./Folsom) chipped in one assist each during the game.
- Freshman Mateus Baptista de Souza (Curitiba, Brazil/Montverde Academy) started in goal and played all 90 minutes recording one save to earn the big shutout victory.
- Mika Folstad and Yannick Langerhuizen both led St. Cloud State with two shots.
- Rami Atia played all 90 minutes in frame for the Huskies and made four saves.
The Breakdown
- Purdue Northwest started the game strong scoring in the sixth minute to take an early 1-0 lead from a Battista goal.
- The Pride held strong in the first half to head into halftime up 1-0.
- Late in the 86th minute, Crosariol hit a near midfield strike with the goalie off his line to give the Pride 2-0 advantage.
- Purdue Northwest added another late goal in the 90th minute from Fukugava to help seal the win and advance with a 3-0 shutout win.
- The Pride ended the game outshooting the Huskies, 17-7.
