The Purdue Northwest Men's Basketball team finished their road trip with a big upset win over #12 California State-Dominguez Hills on Saturday evening, 96-86.

• Senior Jailen Nelson (San Diego, Calif./Carlsbad) led the Pride with a game-high 34 points going 10-of-15 from the field and a perfect 10-of-10 from the free-throw line while also grabbing seven rebounds and four assists.
• Sophomore Jackson Ware (Lismore, Australia/Trinity Catholic) tallied a career-best 28 points shooting 8-of-10 from the three-point line.

• The Toros regained the lead and continued to hold off the Pride until Purdue Northwest took the lead, 78-77, with five minutes remaining in the game.
• Purdue Northwest finished the final minutes strong making clutch shots and free throw during an 18-9 run to seal the victory in the end, 96-86.
• The Pride used a big second half during the game, outscoring the Toros, 60-36.
• Purdue Northwest held a 17-4 edge in fast break points.

Jailen controlled the game, CA and Dee made big plays, and obviously Jacko was lights out. Both Jacko and Parion have been working in the dark, and they were ready for their moments. We got nine straight stops to change the game, and went 18-18 from the FT line, which shows our guys' mental toughness is getting better and better."
