The Purdue Northwest Women's Basketball team slipped in a tight and down-to-the-wire battle at home against the University of Indianapolis on Thursday night, 62-61.

- Senior Kaylen Evans (New Lenox, Ill./Nazareth Academy) led the Pride with 15 points off the bench.
- Junior Zoe Spoelman (Grand Haven, Mich./Grand Haven)Â added 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
- Senior Akiya Baker chipped in nine points, five rebounds, and three assists.
- As a team, the Pride ended the contest shooting 23-of-70 (32.9%) from the floor and went 7-of-28 (25.0%) from behind the arc.
- Patricia Chickamba led UIndy with a game-high 23 points and notched 14 rebounds for a double-double.
- As a team, the Greyhounds finished the game going 25-of-60 (41.7%) from the field and shot 3-of-22 (13.6%) from the three-point line.
The Breakdown
- The Greyhounds started strong in the first period with cold shooting also from the Pride to take a 19-11 lead.
- The Pride responded in the second period outscoring UIndy 23-25. Evans ended the first half draining a three-pointer to put the game at 34-34 at halftime.
- UIndy came out in the second half going on a 14-5 run to grab a 48-39 advantage with over four minutes left in the third period.
- The Greyhounds held onto the lead for the rest of the third and have the lead 51-46 heading into the fourth.
- Purdue Northwest battled back to grab the lead 56-55 after a Cherrelle Newsom (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) three-pointer with five minutes remaining.
- The rest of the game was a back-and-forth battle, the Greyhounds held the lead 58-56 with three-minutes left until freshman Riley Milausnic (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central) drained a three-pointer of her own to give the Pride a 59-58 lead with two minutes to go.
- UIndy responded making two free throws to go up 60-59 but then Baker made a lay-up to give PNW the 61-60 lead with 50 seconds remaining.
- The Greyhounds scored on a lay-up from Chikamba to grab lead 62-61. The Pride had several chance to grab win the game but couldn't convert falling in the end, 62-61.
- The Purdue Northwest benched outscored the Greyhounds, 27-14.
- The Pride held a slight advantage in second chance points, 11-9.
