The Purdue Northwest women's soccer team battled to a hard-fought 1-1 tie on the road at #2 Grand Valley State in GLIAC play on Friday afternoon.

- Sophomore Addison Thomas (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc) led the Pride scoring the lone goal.
- Senior Emma Carter (Plainfield, Ill./Timothy Christian HS) and freshman Rokaya Ajami (Dearborn, Mich./Fordson) added one shot each for the Pride.
- Sophomore Meta Fischer (DeForest, Wis./DeForest) started and played all 90 minutes in goal for Purdue Northwest making four saves.
- Sarah Fromm led GVSUÂ with one goal off two shots.
- Cailynn Junk played all 90 minutes in goal for the Lakers.
The Breakdown
- The Pride took the lead early in the game off a goal from Thomas in the fifth minute to make it 1-0.
- Purdue Northwest held on for the rest of the first half and went into halftime still up 1-0.
- GVSU was able to tie the game in the 73rd minute from a Fromm shot to make the score 1-1.
- Both teams battled for the remainder of the game ultimately ending in a 1-1 tie.
