The Purdue Northwest softball team dominated Parkside in home GLIAC action on Wednesday afternoon, winning big in Game 1 15-5, and then taking Game 2, 9-3.

Game 1
The Breakdown
- Junior Jessica DeBoer (Dyer, Ind./Illiana Christian) and junior Kelsi Dillon (Braidwood, Ill./Reed-Custer (Georgian Court)) both led the Pride with two hits and three RBIs each.
- Senior Ashley Bravo (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) added two hits and two RBIs.
- Junior Allison Arnold (Tucson, Ariz./Naperville North) contributed one hit and four RBIs which included a grand slam bomb.
- Sophomore Myah Stuckey (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) and freshman Amanda DeBoer (Dyer, Ind./Illiana Christian) chipped in two hits each.
- Junior Gabby Paliska (Palos Park, Ill./Lincoln-Way East (Wisconsin-Green Bay)) started on the mound for the Pride and pitched all five innings for the win.Â
- Three Parkside players led the team with two hits and one RBI each.
- Akey pitched the pitched the first 0.2 innings for the Rangers while Curtis, Fee, and Shaw finished the game.
- Parkside started the scoring in the first inning taking a 2-0 early lead
- The Pride lit up the first inning scoring an incredible 12 runs to take a commanding 12-2 lead.
- Purdue Northwest added three runs in the second to extend their lead to 15-2.
- The Rangers scored three runs in the fifth but wasn't enough as the Pride sealed the win, 15-5.

- Senior Selina Michko led the Pride with two hits and three RBIs.
- Graduate Madison Schultz (Lafayette, Ind./Faith Christian) added two hits and two RBIs.
- J. DeBoer contributed two hits and one RBI.
- Bravo and senior Jocey Gault (West Lafayette, Ind./Harrison) chipped in one hit and one RBI.
- Junior Emma Hitll started in the circle and pitched all seven innings to earn the win for Purdue Northwest. She notched five strikeouts and only gave up one earned run.
- Johnson led Parkside with four hits and two RBIs.
- Shikel started on the mound for the Flyers and pitched the first 2.0 innings recording one strikeout.
- The Pride started the scoring in the first inning notching two runs to take a 2-0 early lead.
- Purdue Northwest added two runs in the second inning to make it 4-0.
- Parkside grabbed a run in the fourth to make the score 4-1.
- The Pride scored five runs in the fourth to extend their lead to 9-1.
- The Rangers tallied two runs in the fifth to make it 9-3 but the Pride pitching and defense held strong to finish off the win.
