The Purdue Northwest softball team swept Davenport on the road in GLIAC action on Monday evening winning Game 1, 7-0, and taking Game 2, 6-2.

Game 1
The Breakdown
- Senior's Selena Michko (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central) and Ashley Bravo (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) led the Pride with two hits and two RBIs each.
- Senior Jocey Gault (West Lafayette, Ind./Harrison) and junior Allison Arnold (Tucson, Ariz./Naperville North) added two hits and one RBI.
- Sophomore Myah Stuckey (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) chipped in two hits.
- Junior Maddison Roop (Hudson, Ill./University)Â earned the start in the circle for the Pride and pitched an excellent game. She gave up no runs and only one hit while striking out six batters.
- Brooke Cowan led Davenport with one hit.
- MaKayla Thompson pitched the first 2.2 innings for the Panthers.
- The Pride opened the scoring in the third inning recording four runs to take a 4-0 lead.
- Purdue Northwest added a run in the fourth to make it 5-0.
- Michko launched a solo homer in the fifth and Aubrey Shroyer (Napoleon, Ohio/Napoleon) hit an RBI double in the sixth to grow the score to 7-0 and give Purdue Northwest the win.

- Senior Abbie May (LaSalle, Ill./Saint Bede Academy) started in the circle for the Pride and pitched the first 5.0 innings notching five strikeouts to earn the win.
- Junior Emma Hill (Holmes Beach, Fla./Cary-Grove (IL)) came in and pitched the final two innings for Purdue Northwest.
- Gabby Palazzolo and Lindsay Goodman led Davenport with two hits and one RBI each.
- Kelsey Byers started on the mound for the Panthers and pitched the first 5.2 innings.
- The Pride started the scoring early taking a 3-0 lead in the first inning.
- Davenport scored their first run in the first inning to make the score 3-1.
- Purdue Northwest added a run in the third to extend their lead to 4-1.
- The Panthers scored a run in the fourth inning to cut their deficit to 4-2.
- The Pride tallied a run in the fifth and sixth inning to seal the win, 6-2.
