The Purdue Northwest women's basketball team celebrated Senior Day in a GLIAC home contest against Wayne State on Saturday afternoon but sadley falling in the end, 54-68.

- Junior Mercedes Simmons (Crystal Falls, Mich./Forest Park) led the Pride with 16 points while grabbing 4 rebounds and blocking 2 shots.
- Junior Dash Shaw added 10 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
- Junior Syria Butler (Dolton, Ill./Thornton) chipped in 6 points off the bench dished 1 assist.
- As a team, the Pride ended the game shooting 22-56 (39.3 %) from the field and went 3-14 (21.4 %) from behind the arc.
- Maxine Moore led Wayne State scoring 20 points and recorded 7 rebounds.
- As a team, Wayne State finished the contest going 28-57 (49.1%) from the floor and shot 4-17 (23.5%) from deep.
The Breakdown
- The Pride started a little slow in the first period finding themselves down 10 at the endo of period one, 23-13
- The Pride began to get in a rhythm in period two however Wayne State did not take their foot off the gas pedal as the continued to outscore the Pride.
- The Pride would enter halftime down 12, 40-28.
- Wayne State would continue to battle finding consist buckets inside the paint however the Pride struggled on defense as Wayne State continued to score.
- Wayne State would continue their scoring efforts and end up closing out the game and securing a 68-54 victory.
