The Purdue Northwest women's basketball team earns road win heading into winter break defeating Missouri-St. Louis on Tuesday afternoon, 70-62.

- Senior Dash Shaw (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) led the Pride with a game-high 25 points notching six rebounds.
- Senior Mercedes Simmons (Crystal Falls, Mich./Forest Park) added another another double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
- Junior Cherrelle Newsom (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) chipped in nine points off the bench.
- As a team, the Pride ended the contest shooting 25-of-25 (55.6%) from the floor and went 5-of-15 (33.3%) from behind the arc.
- Morgan Ramthun and Alex Wollf both led UMSL scoring 17 points.
- As a team, the Tritons finished the game going 25-of-63 (39.3%) from the field and shot 1-of-9 (11.1%) from deep.
The Breakdown
- Both teams battled back-and-forth in the first period and saw the Pride take a slim 18-17 lead into the second.
- The second period was the same story with both team trading baskets and leads then ultimately heading into halftime all tied up, 31-31.
- The Tritons came out strong in the third period outscoring Purdue Northwest 18-13 and heading into the fourth period only up 49-44.
- The fourth period was a completely different result as the Pride lit up scoreboard outscoring UMSL 26-13 and securing the victory in the end, 70-62.
- The Pride bench played well outscoring the Tritons, 16-5.
- UMSL held a slim margin in rebounds against the Purdue Northwest, 33-27.
