Women's Basketball earns road victory at Missouri-St. Louis

The Purdue Northwest women's basketball team earns road win heading into winter break defeating Missouri-St. Louis on Tuesday afternoon, 70-62.

  • Senior Dash Shaw (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) led the Pride with a game-high 25 points notching six rebounds.
  • Senior Mercedes Simmons (Crystal Falls, Mich./Forest Park) added another another double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
  • Junior Cherrelle Newsom (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis) chipped in nine points off the bench.
  • As a team, the Pride ended the contest shooting 25-of-25 (55.6%) from the floor and went 5-of-15 (33.3%) from behind the arc.
  • Morgan Ramthun and Alex Wollf both led UMSL scoring 17 points.

  • Both teams battled back-and-forth in the first period and saw the Pride take a slim 18-17 lead into the second.
