The Purdue Northwest women's basketball team earned a season opening victory over Hillsdale in Day 1 of the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover on Friday night, 62-58.

- Hillsdale took the momentum in the second period taking a ten-point lead, 23-13, with over three minutes remaining before the Pride cut the deficit 27-22 heading into halftime.
- With the Pride down 33-26 and six minutes left in the third, the team went on a massive 16-2 run to take 40-34.
- Purdue Northwest ended the third with a 45-36 lead heading into the final period.
- Hillsdale did not quit for the rest of the game but the Pride held strong in the final minutes of the game for the 62-58 win.
