The Purdue Northwest Men's Soccer team celebrated Senior Day on Sunday afternoon against Davenport in GLIAC action. The squad fell in the end in a tough battle, 2-1.

Inside The Numbers 

• Senior Hugo Lorenzo (Madrid, Spain/Guzman el Bueno (William Penn)) led the Pride with a goal on three shots.
• Graduate student Eligh Williams (Gympie, Queensland, Australia/The Southport School) played all 90 minutes in frame for the Pride and recorded three saves 
• Andrew Dykstra and Kirby Eggers both led Davenport with a goal each.
• Vitalis Takawira Jr. notched two assists.
• Bobby Curran played all 90 minutes in goal for the Panthers and made three saves. 

The Breakdown 

• Both teams were held scoreless in the first half, 0-0.
• Davenport broke the scoreless game in the 62nd minute off a goal off a Dystra strike to take a 1-0 lead.
• Eggers extended the lead for the Panthers in the 67th minute to take 2-0 advantage.
• The Pride earned a goal off a penalty kick from Lorenzo to cut their deficit to 2-1 in the 82nd minuted.
• Purdue Northwest were not able to capitalize their attempts down the stretch and Davenport held on, 2-1.
