- SVSUÂ earned the first goal of the game in the 16th minute off a Solana Kelly goal to take a 1-0 lead.
- Purdue Northwest scored the tying goal in the 41st minute off a header from Tillmon to make it 1-1 heading into halftime.
- The Cardinals were able to score two goals in the second half to propel them for the win in the end, 3-1.
