Men's Golf finishes 10th at UIS 2022 Fall Midwest Regional

The Purdue Northwest men's golf team finished 10th at the UIS Fall Midwest Regional three-day event over the weekend.

The Basics
  • The Pride finished 10th out of a 13 team field.
  • The event was held at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Illinois
  • As a team, PNW shot a combined score of 915(299-316-300)
  • McKendree University finished in first place.
  • Austin Fauser of Maryville University took medalist honors finished with a top score of 210(70-69-71)
On The Course
  • Senior Alex Bishop (Litchfield, Ill./Litchfield) led the Pride during the tournament with team-high score of 222(75-75-72) and finished tied for 28th.
  • Freshman Brody Pass (Lino Lakes, Minn.) finished tied for 40th and shot a combined score of 227(73-81-73).
  • Sophomore Finn Kigr ended with a total score of 228(71-81-76) and placed tied for 45th.
  • Freshman Tommy Philpot () tied for 65th and shot a combined final score of 238(80-79-79).
  • Freshman Alexander Moon (Michigan) finished tied for 78th and ended with a total score of 252(85-84-83).
  • Freshman Gran Wieczorek ended the event placing in 80th and shot a total score of 256(82-83-91).

  • The Pride are set to next compete in the Wayne State Motor Invite starting Sunday, October 9. The event will take place at TPC Michigan in Detroit, Mich.
