Pride Women's Golf Team Completes SVSU Spring Invitation in Kentucky

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Libby Huston (Yale, Mich./Yale) and Kaitlyn Valiska (New Lenox, Ill.) each shot an 86 (+14) in the second round of the SVSU Spring Invitational in Georgetown, Kentucky on Sunday for top honors among the Purdue Northwest women's golf team.
 
Valiska's second-round total was a 6-stroke improvement from her Day 1 total on the 5,985-yard, par-72 Cherry Blossom Golf Course.
 
Taylor Martin (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger HS) (91) and Mariah Gabel (92) rounded out the lineup of PNW golfers over the weekend in the spring debut for the Pride.
 
The University of Findlay easily won the team competition as all five members of the Oilers finished in the top eight including tournament champion Kristina Kniesly.
 
UP NEXT
The Pride will return to Kentucky when they take part in the Klash in Kentucky on March 26-27 hosted by Lewis University at the Perry Park Golf Resort in Perry Park, Ky., which is about an hour between both Cincinnati, Ohio, and Louisville, Ky.
