SANDUSKY, Ohio — The Purdue Northwest women's tennis team fell in a regional match against Tiffin, 5-2, Friday afternoon inside the Court 1 Tennis complex.
Senior
Patricia Dizon (Arlington Heights, Ill./St. Viator) won her match at No. 2 Singles by defeating Tiffin's Emily Young in two sets, 6-3 & 6-4 to get the Pride on the board.
PNW's second point came from
Hayley Tsuen (Johannesburg, South Africa) at No. 5 Singles, as the freshman came from behind to defeat TU's Jessica Peace in a 10-6 tiebreaker set. Peace won the first set, 6-4, before Tsuen rallied to pull even in the second set, 7-6.
The Dragons claimed the doubles point by sweeping all three matches. Freshmen duo
Salma Raslan (Cairo, Egypt) and
Mar Vilanova (Girona, Spain) fell in a narrow 6-4 decision at the third doubles flight.
