SANDUSKY, Ohio — The Purdue Northwest men's tennis team fell 7-0 against Tiffin on Friday afternoon indoors at Court 1 Tennis.
The results didn't pan out, but PNW featured several solid performances across the lineup. Two of the six singles matches were decided by tiebreakers, including
Paul Hawes' (Naples, Fla.) three-set match at No. 6 Singles and
Luis Alvear's (Manacor, Balearic Islands, Spain) narrow 7-6 setback in the second set at No. 4 Singles.
The doubles matches were also decided by close scores. The top flight went 7-6 to Tiffin during a tight battle featuring
Miguel Agustin Flores Cepeda (Monterrey, Mexico) and
Marcos Jose Diaz Gutierrez (Guadalajara, Spain).
